The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed about the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office status sassa committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
